JHS Sports Achievers: July 2024

We are happy to announce that Jain Heritage School students have achieved the following medials in various events listed as below:

1) P.Venyashree student of class 8 F has secured two silver medals in the state junior and sub-junior long course swimming competition held at Basavanagudi swimming pool Bangalore between 8th and 11th of July 2024.

- 1500 meters freestyle swim = silver medal
- 400 meters individual Medley = silver medal
- 800 meters freestyle swim = 4th place
- 200 meters butterfly = finalist
- 400 meters freestyle swim = 4th place

2) Sonakshi of grade 9F won 1 Silver in 200 meters Freestyle and 3 Bronze in 50 meters, 200 meters, 100 meters Free Relay medals in the State Swimming Competition 2024-25.

3) Hriday patel of grade 5A had participated in SG Master taekwondo center’s 16th star award held on 30th of June 2024 and he has won 2 momentous for Best Demonstration of Taekwondo & Best Poomsae award.

4) Amrita has won the 3rd prize in the 4th Beginner’s xClub online Chess Tournament in the Under 13 category.

5) Rajsi Rajendra Takale, Grade 10A and Rutvij Rajendra Takale Grade 5C, participated in the 33rd North East India ITF Taekwondo Championship held at Thyagraj Stadium in Delhi between May 31st to June 1st and secured bronze medal in the "individual sparring" category.

6) Stuti Singh's achievement during Karnataka Swimming Association's State Sub Junior and Junior Swimming Championship 2024. Stuti performed very well and won the following medals:

IndividualEvents:

- 100 Freestyle - Gold (1.08.53)
- 200 Freestyle - Gold (2.29.44)
- 400 Freestyle - Gold (5.16.81)
- 100 Backstroke - Gold (1.22.94)
- 200 IM - Bronze (2.55.68)

Relay Events:

- 4 x 50 Freestyle - Gold (2.16.54)
- 4 x 50 Medley - Silver (2.35.88)

7) Sharan of Grade 9C participated in the Karnataka State Swimming Championship 2024 held from July 8 to July 11, 2024, at Basanvangudi Aquatic Centre Bangalore and secured 5 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Medal. He has also received an individual championship for overall performance in the group 2B-Boys category.

Sharan S has been selected to represent Karnataka State in swimming for 6 events at National Level Swimming Championship 2024 which will be held at Bhuvaneshwar, Orissa from 6 August to 11 August 2024.

The following are his achievements at the Karnataka State Swimming Championship 2024:

- 200 M Freestyle Individual - Gold
- 400M Freestyle Individual - Gold
- 400M Medley Individual - Gold
- 800M Freestyle Individual - Gold
- 1500M Freestyle Individual - Gold
- 4X100M Freestyle Relay - Bronze
- 4X200M Freestyle Relay - Silver

8) Hriday Patel of grade 5A participated in Malaysia Taekwondo International Competition on 19th to 21st July 2024. He has won 6 championship belts, 7 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal. He was Awarded with a champion cup.

9) Ananya P Kolar of Grade 9 performed well in the Invitational Table Tennis tournament conducted by GEAR INNOVATIVE International School held on 25th & 26th July 2024. She secured 1st place in the Under-14 Girls category in Individual events.

10) We are happy to announce that JAIN Heritage School Boys & Girls Under-16 Basketball teams participated in the Invitational Claret Cup 2024 Basketball Tournament, which was held on 19th July 2024. The Girls Under-16 basketball team stood up as winners and the Boys Under-16 team stood as runners in the finals.

- Haasini Anand of Grade 9 received Best Defensive Player of the tournament.
- Deethya B R was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament in the Girls category.
- Rishith Basuray was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament in the Boys category.

11) Tushar Agarwalla of Grade - 5C has secured the 2nd Runners Up prize in the Under 11 category in KARNATAKA STATE OPEN FIDE RATED U 13 CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2024 which was held at Chikmagalur, Karnataka between 26th to 28th July 2024.
